Take the Pineapple Express to epic cinema at PUFF 2014!

Who lives in a pineapple under the sea? Spongebob Squarepants… and PUFF 2014 – the Pineapple Underground Film Festival that’ll blow your mind with creative cinematic masterpieces from all around the world!

Kicking off tomorrow (Dec. 4) and running to Dec. 13 in locations all around Hong Kong (including the XXX Gallery, White Noise Records and The Hive), PUFF 2014 will promote independent filmmaking and cutting edge video arts from far-flung, exotic-sounding places including China, USA, France and Belgium.

With more than 30 premieres in the pipeline, the offerings are wonderfully varied, but the undoubted highlight will be Huseyin Karabey’s Come To My Voice, a Turkish drama based in the beautiful Kurdish mountains that brings to life an old fable in a modern setting.

Other titles include the USA’s Las Vegas Story, Hong Kong’s Fast Forward, and Alone On Board, a French thriller that promises to get the adrenaline pumping.

Also be sure to keep your eyes peeled for director Stephen Chan and graphic designer Nicola Fan who’ll be popping into the opening ceremony of Fast Forward at the XXX Gallery on Dec. 4 at 7pm. You definitely don’t want to fast forward through that… lols.

So for some epic movie magic, check out the website for the full listings and buy your tickets here or on the various doors.

If Spongebob’s still not returning your calls (we know how you feel), enjoy your very own pineapple under the sea at PUFF HK!
