Hong Kong trams, known locally as “ding dings”, are nothing new. In fact, they’ve been a stellar icon of city life for over 100 years. They are, however, still held dear to our hearts and riding one is always a joy (unless it’s hot and/or you’re in a hurry).
You might have noticed that one of our trams has recently had a wee facelift, sporting the green hue of Heineken and its signature red star, as well as neon lights aplenty. On board, there are also interactive games, glow sticks and the obligatory photo props, and each rider gets THREE FREE LIMITED EDITION BEERS! Hoorah!
The so-called Illuminated Tram Bar is part of the beer brand’s “Shape Your City” campaign, which has been splashing some colour onto the canvasses of 18 participating cities around the world.
