Beer lovers, mark your calendars and start counting down the days to Beertopia 2016, because tickets for Hong Kong’s biggest annual celebration of craft beer are on sale now. Early bird tickets start at just HKD235, so hop on over (wink wink) and get yours right here.
Details: Beertopia 2016 will feature 20 restaurants, 14 local breweries, and over 500 varieties of craft beer from around the world, all converging on Hong Kong’s Central Harbourfront on Nov. 18 and 19.
But it’s not just the booze we’re excited about; new this year are four themed areas, a colourful shisha garden, and even craft beer cocktails from hip HK bar The Woods.
The food at Beertopia promises to be on point as usual, too. Come hungry, because the city’s finest eating establishments will be out in full force. Sample perfect pint pairings from Blue Butcher, Bread & Beast, Boomshack, Brickhouse, Jacomax Pizza, Mavericks, Tiger Curry and lots more. The festival will also feature the obligatory beer pong (of the regular and giant varieties) as well as the much-loved party classic flip cup, while local bands and DJs from Soul Passion Music rock the crowd.
Back when the festival started in 2012, there was just one lonely craft brewery calling Hong Kong home. Not anymore though, as this year Beertopia expects 13,000 attendees from a city practically drowning in local brews. This is the only time you’ll find all of Hong Kong’s craft beers in one place.
Just think of all the hoppy goodness you can lap up from Black Kite Brewery, City Brew, Gweilo Beer, Hitachino HK, Hong Kong Beer Company, Kowloon Bay Brewery, Lion Rock Brewery, Lucky Dawgs Brewing Co., Mak’s Brewing, Moonzen Brewery, Nine Dragons Brewery, Yardley Brothers, and Young Master Ales. Phew, we need a beer after that list!
