Young Hong Kong woman in coma after motor scooter crash in Taiwan

A 22-year-old Hong Kong woman who was studying in Taiwan has been in a coma since getting into a motor scooter accident on May 10.

She suffered from a cerebral haemorrhage and sustained fractures to her head, face, and leg in the accident, for which there are no witnesses, reports Apple Daily

It is believed she crashed into a telephone pole while on her way to the university at around 7:50pm on Mother’s Day.

Her family, including her three siblings, depend on her electrician father’s income and live in Kwai Chung.

Her parents say they have lived frugally in order to send their child to Taiwan to study. A great nature lover, the young woman was in her third year at National Pingtung University of Science and Technology’s forestry department.

They are unable to afford to fly her on a special medically equipped plane back to Hong Kong for treatment, and are seeking donations.

Please email charity@adfund.org.hk or call (+852) 2990-8688 if you can help.
