World record sushi mosaic in Hong Kong

20,647 pieces of sushi covering an area of 37.16 meters made a spectacle last week at Festival Walk’s ice skating rink.

A hundred of Itacho and Itamae Sushi restaurant’s chefs and staff participated in creating a sushi mosaic of 37.16 meters to celebrate their 10 years anniversary. The stunt took six months to prepare and the restaurant chain more than HK$1 million.

The sushi mosaic made in Hong Kong is set to be recorded in the Guinness records as it beats the current record of a 31.59 meters sushi mosaic made in Norway.
