Woman posts selfies on dating app, gets cyberbullied

A 20-year-old woman posted sexy pictures of herself on a dating app but a guy she met on the app secretly took a picture of her during a date and posted it on online forums, mocking her size and ugliness. The guy even called her a fraud as her profile pictures were a far cry from what she’s like in real life.

The photo went viral and spread to China and Taiwan within a day, with netizens making fun of her and cyberbulling her. The woman, distraught, reported the incident to the police but was ignored. She complained to Apple Daily and said the incident has affected her work and personal friendships and relationships. She further explained: “You can say that I am ugly, but I am not a fraud. Who doesn’t show others their best pictures? I don’t deserve to be treated like this.”
