Woman dies after getting run over and trapped by minibus in Sheung Shui

A 64-year-old woman died after she was run over by a minibus in Sheung Shui earlier today.

According to a police press release, the woman was knocked over by the minibus while she was crossing San Fat Street.

A netizen posted photos of the 64-year-old at 9:56am, and said she was unresponsive. Emergency services had reportedly not yet arrived at that time.

She was later rushed to the hospital unconscious and sustaining serious injuries, but was confirmed dead at 10:20am.

The minibus driver, aged 47, has been arrested for dangerous driving causing death, and is being detained for further enquiries.
