Woman arrested for inducing abortion at home with pills

Ladies, think long and hard before it’s too late whether you want a child or not! Self-administered abortions are not only life-endagering but illegal which is why a woman was recently arrested for inducing an abortion at her own home in Yuen Long.

The SCMP reports the 39-year-old woman, said to be mentally disabled, used pills bought from the mainland to abort her five months’ old fetus. Two days after taking the pills, she suffered abdominal pains, delivered the fetus in the toilet and the baby boy when taken to the hospital was declared dead. The woman is currently being treated at the hospital as well.

At first the police thought it was a miscarriage but found the woman had three legal abortions and had failed to get a legal abortion this time round, thus, turning to the pills.
