Police have arrested a woman for reportedly stabbing her ex-husband in the arm with a pair of scissors in a dispute over their 3-year-old daughter.

The 40-year-old suspect surnamed Siu was arrested at her home at the So Uk Estate in Cheung Sha Wan last night, nine hours after the attack on her 30-year-old ex-husband, surnamed Lee, on Tai Tsun Street in the Tai Kok Tsui neighborhood.

According to HK01, the couple had been married for three years, but divorced last year, and Lee was granted custody of their daughter, known only as “Lam Lam.”

The outlet reported that Siu, who is unemployed, went to the restaurant in Tai Kok Tsui where Lee works as a part-time waiter at around 9:30am this morning for a talk about their daughter.

The altercation — which was caught on dash cam video that some readers may find upsetting — shows the couple stepping outside the restaurant and having a very heated discussion, which quickly culminates in Siu stabbing Lee in the left arm. Lee can be heard screaming.

In a separate CCTV video posted online, Lee can be seen running down the street. Siu is seen running after him, but stops, turns around, and then turns around again heading in the same direction as Lee.

HK01 reported that Lee was heard yelling “help me” as he ran from Tai Tsun Street to Ivy Street, where he collapsed, with a wound that was about one inch-long, and leaving behind a trail of blood that was about 140 meters-long.

Headline Daily reported that Lee was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.

After arresting Siu on suspicion of wounding, officers confiscated from her apartment some clothing and a pair of kitchen scissors.

According to Apple Daily, this is not Siu’s first encounter with the law; in January, teachers at Lam Lam’s kindergarten called emergency services after the child — who was playing with Siu’s cell phone — accidentally called her teacher and told her that she was home alone.

Firefighters arrived at the apartment and broke down the door, just as Siu arrived and told them that she just went out to “buy food.”

The outlet reported that Siu allegedly bit one of the officers, and was arrested on suspicion of child abuse and of assaulting a police officer.
