A wild pig crashed madly into cars at the Sai Kung Police Station parking lot yesterday night, breaking glass and wrecking havoc. It took a large team of police officers and manpower from the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department to subdue it.
Apparently, the wild pig is a pet of a Sai Kung resident, who found “Tommy” 10 months ago in the wild injured from a dog bite and was bought home and nursed back to health. He then decided to keep the wild pig as a pet. While walking Tommy, it kicked and injured a passerby, prompting a call to the police. Tommy was bought to the police station where it tried to escape.
It sure beats us why anyone would think that a wild pig for a pet is such a hot idea.
