Wicked! Cathay Pacific to start direct flights between Boston and Hong Kong next year

People from “Bahston” will be happy to hear that Cathay Pacific will be running 4 x weekly flights between Logan Airport and Hong Kong starting from May 2, 2015. The first direct flight between New England and Hong Kong will surely facilitate exchanges of clam chowder and char siu bao. The service will be operated by a Boeing 777-300ER in a four-class configuration.

This brings the total number of cities Cathay Pacific flies to in North America to eight: Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York (JFK), Newark, San Francisco, Toronto and Vancouver.

Cathay Pacific Chief Executive Ivan Chu said: “The new Boston service will meet the needs for both business and leisure travel between Hong Kong and the East Coast of the USA. Its launch, together with other US routes, demonstrates our ongoing commitment to strengthen Hong Kong’s position as one of the world’s great international aviation hubs.”
