What? Good thing this was reported to Hong Kong’s privacy watchdog.
According to the Privacy Commissioner, a small-medium sized firm requested its female workers to supply blood samples for DNA testing in order to find who left menstrual bloodstains in the bathroom.
Privacy Commissioner Allan Chiang Yam-wang said this was in serious breaches of privacy and the company has been asked to destroy all DNA samples collected and cease continued collection, reports the SCMP.
