We already told you it has snowed in Hong Kong before (shocker!), considering how temperatures rarely drop below 6 degrees Celsius, even during the coldest periods.
However, snow in Hong Kong is still a rare sight, the Observatory notes Hong Kong has only experienced snow four times!
Feb. 2, 1967 – Cape Collinson
Dec. 13, 1967 – Tai Mo Shan
Jan. 29, 1971 – Tai Mo Shan
Dec. 14, 1975 – New Territories
Though it didn’t snow, on Jan. 18, 1893 the Observatory recorded the city’s coldest ever temperature, 0 degrees Celsius.
