Cantonese-language Facebook page “Old Hong Kong” shared a retro clip aired by TVB that shows the passenger terminal of the now-defunct Kai Tak Airport in 1963.
“We wonder who the people in the clip are, but we are sure people will recognise them once they see them,” the page wrote in the video’s caption.
Now that old sweatpants and tacky neck pillows have replaced dapper suits and carefully coiffed bobs, we can’t help but feel a tad nostalgic… and we kind of miss seeing jumbo jets fly so low over Mong Kok that it seemed like you could reach up and touch one.
