We’re not surprised that this 56-year-old is sentenced to two years behind bars for theft. We’re shocked that a 56-year-old, retired police officer, and wheelchair bound would attempt to commit a crime like this!
Apparently, Kong Yam-ping was approached by a tourist for directions in Kwai Chung. Kong agreed to take the woman to her destination but instead snatched her smartphone and managed to escape in his wheelchair! What?!
The Tsuen Wan Magistracy sentenced Kong to two months in jail.
