A domestic violence case was reported at a young 19-year-old couple’s home in Wanchai.
The teen, five months pregnant, woke her husband up around 8:00am after her water broke. In pain, she urged her husband to take her to the hospital.
Instead, her husband got mad at being woken up in the cold weather and the two started arguing.
He kicked her, driving her toward the wall where she hit her stomach, worsening her abdominal pain. The teen called the police and she was sent to the Ruttonjee hospital, where she subsequently suffered a miscarriage and is now being treated.
The husband was arrested for assault.
