A joke set of photos showing Bruce Lee figurines smelling a pair of undies has attracted criticism from netizens for its perceived disrespect towards the icon.
The “highly posable” dolls were released by Japanese figurine company S.H. Figuarts to coincide with what would have been the martial arts legend’s 75th birthday last year.

To S.H. Figuarts’ credit, the set does showcase exactly how “posable” the dolls are.
However, it appears that some netizens from local figurine groups just don’t see it that way. The author of the photos was criticised for being disrespectful and “blasphemous” for casting Lee (…’s doll) in a “profane” light.
Others were more amused, saying that those offended had “glass hearts” and should not take the figurines so seriously.
Considering that Lee’s brother said the Little Dragon would want Hongkongers to “chill and put aside their differences”, we’re inclined to agree.
