Hong Kong temperatures to plunge 10 degrees Celsius this week

At 25 degrees Celsius, it was a pleasant weekend for many Hongkongers, despite it being on the humid and hazy side. Today’s been more of the same, but don’t pack up those coats quite yet; there’s a cold snap coming.

According to the Hong Kong Observatory’s nine-day forecast, the fun’s coming to an end, with a cold front set to reach the South China coast during the week that will cause the mercury to drop to a low of 13 degrees Celsius by Friday.

Today’s weather is much like yesterday’s — humid and foggy, with lows of 23 degrees Celsius and highs of 28. Although sunny throughout most of the day, there will be patchy rain tonight and it is expected to be cloudy with intermittent rain through Friday.

But don’t worry, it is expected to get a bit warmer after Friday with fine and dry weather as the temperatures climb back up in the next week.
