Tonight, scary, ripped (and probably severely dehydrated after their weigh-ins) fighters from all over the world descend onto Wan Chai to show off all sorts of martial arts skills at the IMPI Fighting Championship World Series.
There will be white collar fights, MMA fights, and one Thai boxing match, and it will be the city’s first championship to feature the famous MMA cage. Most notably, it will include Hong Kong’s first professional female MMA fight. Awesome!

For the women’s fight, Kimberley Carder will be representing Hong Kong against Tricia Yap, who will be representing Australia (though she is also from here).
“I feel honoured to be fighting tonight to be fighting in such an incredible event, the first caged fighting card in Hong Kong,” Carder told Coconuts Hong Kong.
“The organiser of the event, Vusi, is actually the man who gave me my first MMA fighting opportunity two years ago and it’s great to see how far he has come promoting MMA in the region. Tonight is a great start for things to come, there are some amazing fights lined up and it’s sure to be a spectacle.”
