WATCH: Barefoot man dances on safety barrier over escalators at Admiralty Station

UPDATE: The man was apparently drunk, according to a report by Headline Daily, and was issued a warning for violating the MTR Bylaws. No injuries were reported.

Despite the fact that most of us celebrated Halloween prematurely over the weekend, it looks like some people are still in rather high (and devilish) spirits. Photos and videos of a man dancing barefoot on the safety barriers at Admiralty Station surfaced earlier this afternoon, in a stunt that some netizens are attributing to All Hallow’s Eve… and intoxication.

Witnesses said they saw the man dancing around on the barrier, which overlooks a bank of escalators and stairs at the busy station, at around 12:30pm.

In one clip, the man clearly appears to be wearing earphones, which are plugged into his phone, and begins shouting whilst boogying along the length of the barrier.

At least three MTR workers can be seen looking on disapprovingly and talking amongst themselves in the same video. As of press time, details are scarce and all of the people whose Facebook posts were seen by Coconuts Hong Kong said that they didn’t know the subject.

While the videos have yet to go viral, they’ve already caught the attention of a few thousand netizens, some of whom pondered whether the barefoot man was under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Others dismissed the claims, sarcastically suggesting that he was either holding a samba class or performing his own rendition of Pen Pineapple Apple Pen. On that note, what the hell is it with Hong Kong people and PPAP?
