Do you like looking for things that aren’t actually lost?
Apparently, Toyota thinks we do. That’s why they’ve launched a new bizarre marketing campaign in Hong Kong, offering HKD20,000 worth of rewards to anyone who can locate two “lost” cars, the recently launched Sienta and Spade models.
The campaign has even launched with a website and video asking for Hongkongers to help find the missing vehicles.
According to Toyota, the cars were sent from Japan “to surprise the hip and fun-loving people of Hong Kong with [their] striking designs,” but “have been lost in action soon after landing.”
The past weekend, posters of the missing cars were spotted around town from Tsim Tsa Tsui to Mong Kok.
We’re not sure what Toyota is going for with the campaign, but suffice to say that they’ve succeeded in confusing the shit out of us.
