VIDEO: Why Hong Kong is ultra badass at night!

It’s pretty hard not to notice how jaw-droppingly, eye-poppingly incredible Hong Kong looks at night.

But sometimes we might forget and have to wait until it gets dark, we’re stuck somewhere with no windows or, heaven forbid, we’re out of town altogether. Noooo!

But panic not, night-deprived, as three clearly very busy fellas have finally got around to cutting together some nocturnal Hong Kong footage from 2011. We would chastise them further, but it seems it was worth the wait.

Shot on a Canon 5D by Daniel Kriesl, edited in Final Cut Pro by Stephan Schnee, and with a score composed by Martin Reiher, the two-minute magical movie provides everything you need for a fix of dark delights.

Cue whizzing road time-lapses, clouds reflecting lightning, neon-encased skyscrapers, cranes shuffling around the docks and, of course, the obligatory taxi ride.

You’ll never crave a night in Hong Kong again… until tomorrow morning when everything gets all light and boring again.
