So close, this was, to one of those horror highway movie crashes where a tanker flips.

Not that it was a near miss.

Three vehicles — an oil tanker, a car and a taxi — collided on the Ting Kau Bridge this week, with dash cam footage uploaded online showing just how serious things were.

Posted yesterday, it shows the moment the oil tanker — driving in the left lane — rear-ends a black seven-seater car, which then moves into the right lane where it is hit by the red-topped cab.

Before it disappears from the shot, the truck can be seen tipping over slightly before, although it appears to stop short of toppling on its side.

According to the timestamp at the bottom of the video, this incident took place at 2:30pm on Tuesday, November 27.

It is not clear from reports if emergency services were called to the scene, although HK01 reports that the driver of the private car sustained minor injuries.

Coconuts HK have contacted police for more information.
