Although not subjecting us to the former pain, a video uploaded to Facebook yesterday has caused a storm because of the latter.
The one-minute clip, which has been shared more than 3,500 times since being posted by Bull Shxt King, shows an old man sat outside a Hong Kong 7-Eleven, seemingly lapping up the air con.
While the accomplice cameraman films, however, a young man sneaks up behind the older man and pours a whole cup of water over his head before disappearing into the shop.
The pranked man jumps to his feet in surprise, but can see no-one to blame for the disservice.
One passerby suggests there was a leak.
A leak of compassion from the young man’s heart all over his hideous sandals and socks, maybe.
