It’s nearly impossible to make a video of Hong Kong that’s fresh and original these days. It seems to be mandatory that video odes to Hong Kong include timelapses of a busy crosswalk and drone footage in the New Territories, all set to music that gets the blood pumping.
But John Nelson made something different. He made Hong Kong look like an elegant, architectural wonderland living in harmony with the ebb and flow of nature. Then the glorious aerial shots of Mid-Levels and Central set to inspiring, dramatic music makes it feel like we’ve just reached the Shire after a long, epic journey.
