VIDEO: Bus service allows pet owners to finally ride buses

You may love your dog, but you may not love the taxi bills you accrue from shuttling your dog back and forth to the pet spa, pet groomer’s, pet hotels, pet training schools, etc…

Bus 99 (“nine” sounds like “dog” in Cantonese) was started by three frustrated pet owners who were sick of being denied by public transport. So far, 1,000 pet owners and their best friends have taken the bus to 18 different pet-friendly parks.

Unfortunately the future of the bus service as unknown as they need a long-term sponsor who can help them with the costs of running the service, or maybe help them deck out the bus to be more pet-friendly (like oggie sick bags, maybe, or built-in water bowls perhaps?)

Last weekend the bus service offered two routes: one from Aberdeen to Penfold Park in Sha Tin and another from Yuen Long to Penfold Park, with both routes stopping at different places along the way. Tickets cost HKD $59.
