Vegetable prices to go up by at least 10 percent because of heavy rainfall

No surprise here! Due to heavy rainfall in the past few days and with extreme weathers expected to continue for a few more days, many crops have been and will continue to be destroyed.

Particularly where a lot of Hong Kong’s produce comes from, Guangdong, which has been hard hit by severe storms and rainfall, the wholesale prices of vegetables in Hong Kong is expected to increase by at least 10 percent.
