Police have arrested the younger brother of a 42-year-old man ‘chopped’ to death in a Mong Kok tea shop yesterday.
Officers rushed to the scene at 175 Portland Street around 12:25pm to find 42-year-old Tsang Wing-ho lying unconscious on the floor with multiple chop wounds to his body, including a 15cm gash to his chest that exposed his lung.
His 37-year-old little brother, Lok Ma Chau, was arrested less than two hours later, covered in blood at a border checkpoint with a sashimi knife in his bag.
Lok, reportedly part of the 14K triad gang, allegedly went into a frenzy when his brother refused to lend him money, stabbing him furiously for about 30 seconds in front of scores of other diners, reports SCMP.
Tsang was taken to Kwong Wah Hospital, but confirmed dead less than 20 minutes later.
A post-mortem examination will be carried out to ascertain the cause of death, but we’re pretty sure it’ll be those multiple stab wounds.
