If you’re a fan of plopping a beauty mask on just before bed, be sure to check if they’re real, as fake facial masks have been circulating the market.
Customs officers seized about 51,000 counterfeit facial masks worth about HK$265,000 (HK$5 per mask) and arrested 12 people aged 19 to 52 for mixing fake masks with real products.
The facial masks were Taiwanese brand “My Beauty Diary” imitations.
If you happen to have a box of these facial masks, customs officers say the fake masks usually have DB at the end of the code marked on the boxes and luckily the counterfeit masks won’t cause any harm to health.
