For those who are unfamiliar with Uber, it’s a mobile app that you can use to request a private car pick-up to the destination of your choice. The app will show you all the available Uber cars on a map, so that you can decide whether it’s worth the wait. Once you request a driver, your current location is sent to them automatically. And best of all, because they have your credit card information on file, you don’t even need cash! So until taxi drivers take credit card or Octopus then Uber’s got that advantage.
And for today only, Uber cars all around the world—144 cities in 38 countries, as a matter of fact—will be delivering ice cream to your door. In Hong Kong, they’ll be deliver five different XTC gelato flavours for $150 until 5pm today.
One’s got to wonder how well Uber will do in a city of which the roads are chock-full of buses and taxis, but then again Hong Kong is also a city of lazy people who value convenience above virtually all else.
Download the app and get the most luxurious dessert delivery ever.
