A former staff at TVB complained about her female boss often talking about her sex life with him — does this count as sexual harassment? If the roles were reversed, and an employee often discusses his sex life with his boss, does it count as sexual harassment too?

According to a lawyer, surnamed Wong, the answer is yes — as long as there is a working relationship, talking about your sex life can count as sexual harassment. In addition, sexual harassment at work is not just between the opposite sex, but also between the same sex.

Wong reminded the public to be sensitive about statements you make about yourself at work — for example, praising your own physical prowess can be considered sexual and make colleagues feel uncomfortable, leading to sexual harassment complaints. If you got a hot bod, work is not a good place to show it off!
