Prize winners of Now TV’s game show “Action to Money” knew of the correct answers after offering a TV engineer on the show a HK$46,000 bribe.
The cheaters were a brother and sister who by knowing the correct answers to the game show’s questions defrauded PCCW nearly HK$350,000 worth of prizes, reports RTHK.
The sister’s lawyer tried to push the blame on her boyfriend, who worked at PCCW, saying that she was pressured by the man she loved to do a quick cash job so they could get married. Yet, the court claimed that the brother and sister’s fraudulent actions were no different to fraud in other cases so sentenced the brother to four months and the sister 10 months in jail.
