Two trucks were involved in a crash in the Hung Hom tunnel yesterday evening that caused a huge traffic jam, forcing commuters to get off buses and walk through the tunnel.
The congestion extended to Causeway Bay, Wanchai, and Central and lasted for up to three hours.
With heavy rain making the roads slippery, a truck lost control at around 5:40pm and crashed into another truck. Two lanes had to be shut down, causing the Hung Hom Tunnel to be completely congested.
After waiting for a while, angry bus passengers requested that the driver let them off so they could walk out of the tunnel, according to Apple Daily.
