The MTR is the one experience that binds all Hongkongers together, so when someone takes a photo of anything remotely funny on the train, it will get shared on the interwebz.
A foreigner was spotted giving his shoulders some respite by hanging his backpack on a train handle with a hook that he apparently carries around for occasions like this.
This caption, shared by local magazine 100most, jokes that “this must either be on display for re-sale or the lost and found department is waiting for the bag’s stupid owner to claim it”.
The top comment features a photo of a roast duck on a hook, saying: “He too thought he’d just hang for a bit, little did he know it’d be for his whole life”.
Another commenter adds: “If there are lots of free handles next to him, then it’s not a big deal.”
The photo has accumulated over 2,500 “likes” on Facebook since getting posted yesterday.
