Toilets in shopping mall used as brothels

Police busted a syndicate that turned toilets in a Yuen Long shopping mall into brothels.

84 people were arrested, including two mainland woman who tried to escape by falling four floors, one of whom is in critical condition.

According to the police, these syndicate members charged the prostitutes HK$100 for each customer and raked in an estimated HK$300,000 a month. By using a code to contact clients, who paid HK$250 for sex, each prostitute serviced 15-20 customers every day.

For 10 months, brothels operated in the Cheong Sing Building in Yuen Long by converting the male and female toilets along with a shop of the shopping center into cubicles for sex. The shopping center had many empty shops to the syndicate’s advantage.
