A Burberry store in Tsim Sha Tsui found itself short of a crocodile skin coat worth nearly HK$1 million at closing time, which is one of the most expensive items in the store. Incredibly, the crocodile-skin coat was not protected by any security measures, such as those anti-thief beepers you often see in stores.
Two nights ago, a thief pretending to be a customer walked in the store, took the coat, and then walked out of the store boldly — the entire process took less than a minute. The thief was not discovered until closing time. The approximately 30-year-old thief was captured on CCTV, and he managed to successfully steal the coat by picking a time when the store was really busy with customers.
