That’s a lot of LV! Authorities “neutralize” two counterfeit stores, seize HKD1 million in fake goods

The police and the customs department cracked down on two large storehouses in Mong Kok that contained 2,360 counterfeit goods destined for the black market (or you know, the very public and open markets in TST), worth a cool HKD1 million.

Louis Vuitton and Prada purses were expectedly plentiful in the haul, which also included watches and pens. (Who buys fake pens?! Actually, who buys pens expensive enough to copy?!)

Two men aged 33 and 39 were arrested and released on bail (probably paid for with money they’ve made selling fake bags).

A person convicted of selling counterfeit goods can be imprisoned for up to five years and fined up to HKD500,000. So we guess they’re still making a profit?
