What the hell was that cabbie thinking?

Shocking video sent to Apple Daily (Watch it here) shows a highway smash that seemed easily avoidable.

Now sure, sometimes motorcyclists can get themselves into dangerous situations but this did not appear one of them.

The rider and his passenger were motoring down the middle lane of the North Lantau highway about 10pm last night when a red taxi ran right up the back of them, only seeming to tap the breaks mere meters away from the pair.

According to the witness who submitted the clip, surnamed Poon, the pair had been traveling a “bit slow” in the middle lane.

Still, the way road rules work it’s usually your responsibility to avoid hitting the people in front.

Amazingly both men on the motorcycle managed to escape serious injury after being thrown from the bike.

One of them, as you’ll notice, was incredibly lucky to avoid getting hit again by the cab when it was rear-ended by another taxi driving behind.

According to Apple Daily, police are now investigating the accident. The two men, both reported to be 21 years old, were taken by ambulance to North Lantau Hospital with minor injuries to their arms and legs.
