Takahata and Miyazaki animation exhibition

If you’re a fan of Ghibli’s animation films, like Princess Mononoke, My Neighbor Totoro, Grave of the Fireflies, The Wind Rises, The Tale of The Princess Kaguya, and many more, then the exhibition: Studio Ghibli Layout Designs: Understanding the Secrets of Takahata and Miyazaki Animation will not disappoint.

Held at the Hong Kong Heritage Museum from May 14 to Aug. 31, the exhibition will showcase over 1,300 of the animation directors and Studio Ghibli founders, Isao Takahata and Hayao Miyazaki’s animated film layout designs, including the outlook of the scenes, arrangement of colours, positions, and motions.

Tickets are HK$20 for adults, HK$14 for a group of more than 20 and HK$10 for concessionary tickets, except on Wednesdays tickets are half price.
