Airport staff members are sometimes given a bit of a head’s up when Typhoon Signal No.8’s are hoisted, since they’re the ones who have to deal with the devil-people that are enraged travellers facing cancellations and delays.
According to Apple Daily’s airport sources, a T8 signal will be hoisted at exactly 3:15pm, with the newspaper adding that airport staff are generally reliable when weather warnings.
