Sweet Heaven: Jean-Paul Hévin to host chocolate master classes in Hong Kong

Chocolate is like wine; there’s good stuff and there’s bad stuff, but not every pleb on the planet can tell the difference.

Make sure you’re in the in-the-know camp by taking a chocolate master class with world famous chocolatier Jean-Paul Hévin.

Did somebody say chocolate… like twice?!

Now we have your attention: the Frenchman will begin hosting lessons at his Lyndhurst Terrace hub this summer for those interested in learning about the history, production process and subtle nuances between types of chocolate – or those who just want to stuff themselves silly with heavenly sweets under the guise of learning.

The workshops, open for private and corporate bookings, will take you on a mouthwatering journey from one type of chocolate to the next. Through blind tasting, you’ll learn how to differentiate between levels of cocoa purity and discover what makes good quality chocolate so delicious.

To make sure no-one feels too ashamed afterwards, the classes will also touch on the health benefits of eating chocolate. And of course, Hévin’s heavenly hot chocolate will end the lessons on a sweet note.

Sessions are recommended for groups of 20-30 people, though smaller gatherings can be accommodated.

Call the chocolatier (or his PR team) to book yourself in, though don’t be upset when your favourite Cadbury’s bar suddenly tastes like the crap it is.
