Two men suspected to have carried out a robbery at a luxury watch shop in Tsim Sha Tsui yesterday afternoon were arrested.
Sunday afternoon, a luxury watch shop had more than HK$10 million worth of expensive timepieces stolen. The robbers alerted staff at the store when they smashed windows with hammers – the staff ran after them, and managed to catch the two suspects with the help of a passerby.
The police told reporters that one of the suspects arrested is a mainlander in Hong Kong on a two-way permit. They also claim that a third suspect is still on the run, and the police are trying to track the robber.
28 of the stolen watches have been recovered.
