Suspected human skeleton found in bushes under a flyover in Kowloon Bay

Police have launched an investigation after suspected human bones were discovered underneath a flyover in Kowloon Bay this morning.

At around 10am, two contractors for the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department were trimming the bushes on Wai Yip Street, near Sheung Yuet Road, when they discovered what appeared to be a human skeleton.

Oriental Daily reports that the skeleton was wearing a cap on its skull, and some of its bones were missing. A T-shirt, grey hooded jacket, and dark bag were found near the skeleton. No identity documents were found on the scene.

As of 4pm, HK01 reports that the police have taken all the bones away for investigation.

The case has been referred to officers from the Crime Unit, who are trying to determine whether there was any foul play involved.
