UPDATE: Bomb disposal officers plan to dispose of an unexploded WWII bomb found today in Tseung Kwan O via a controlled detonation.
The wartime ordinance, weighing 300 lbs and containing 120 lbs of explosives, was discovered at a landfill site around noon today by a construction worker.
According to Headline Daily, the bomb, among the thousands dropped on the city during WWII, is considered “unstable”.
The Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Bureau, it added, are working to prepare it for a controlled detonation.
The bomb is far from the first dug up in recent times.
Three were discovered in the span of a few weeks by workers building a new train line on Hong Kong island.
