Suspect uniform fetishist accused of stealing cases from multiple Cathay flight attendants

Maybe you didn’t believe us earlier today when we told you Cathay Pacific flight attendant uniforms can go for HKD5,000 on the black market. Too bad for you, because we’ve just come across a real life case that seems to prove the point.

A suspected uniform fetishist has been charged with five counts of theft and one count of extortion after allegedly stealing a Cathay Pacific flight attendant’s luggage from a bus.

According to Sky Post, the 30-year-old was seen by witnesses scurrying away with the luggage when alighting an airport bus at Whampoa Garden in Hung Hom on Wednesday.

More flight attendant uniforms and name tags were reportedly found in his flat when it was later searched by police, while another two cases belonging to Cathay attendants were uncovered at a shopping mall near the bus stop.

The police apparently confirmed that the man also tried to extort money from one Cathay employee in exchange for her luggage last month.

EJ Insight reports that he was due to appear in court today.
