What makes you feel more insecure, forgetting to bring your wallet or your mobile phone out?
A recent survey conducted among more than five hundred teenagers found that most of them cannot live without their mobile phones. More than 90 per cent of the survey participants say they spend on average 3.5 hours on their phones each day and send and receive about 221 messages a day.
Around 60 per cent of those questioned are content when they have their mobile phones with them whereas 10 per cent cannot bear not using their cellphones for just one day.
Experts say the survey results are worrying, as over-reliance on smartphones may lead to difficulties with social interaction. Experts suggest parents teach children healthy levels of mobile phone usage to avoid addiction.
