A survey conducted by the equal-rights watchdog claims that one in five female workers in Hong Kong are sexually harassed at their workplace. However, about 30 percent of the victims did not report the harassment.
19 percent of those surveyed admitted to have been sexually harassed, with six percent saying they’ve witnessed harassment in the past year. 39 percent were harassed by colleagues of the same rank, with 28 percent were customers. The rest were by senior or junior colleagues. The SCMP reports, the group claims that the figures are serious and illustrates that sexual harassment is a daily problem in Hong Kong.
