Most surgeons use tiny cameras to see inside their patients as they operate, one Hong Kong doctor, however, has been arrested for deploying the technology for creepier purposes, allegedly filming his female colleagues while they changed in a hospital locker room.

The 30-year-old man surnamed Chan is reported to have placed a pinhole camera in a locker room of the east wing of Kwong Wah Hospital in Yau Ma Tei.

According to hk01, Chan had allegedly filmed at least two female colleagues getting dressed since placing the camera in the locker room near the surgical ward in October.

Hospital staff located the camera after discovering the the video files on a public hospital computer on Sunday, Nov 26.

The newspaper reported today that police received a call on Sunday, and Chan was arrested the next day for accessing a computer with criminal or dishonest intent.

He was later released on bail and told to report to police in mid-December.

Kwong Wah Hospital said they have reported the incident to the Hospital Authority and that Chan was suspended from his position.

The hospital also stressed that no patients were involved in the incident, and that they were cooperating with the police investigation into the matter.
