Student reprimanded by Poly U for writing profanity-ridden Facebook posts about anti-Occupy Central people

A student at PolyU received an email from the university’s disciplinary board about his anti-Blue Ribbon, profanity-ridden Facebook posts. The university administration demanded that he admit his wrongdoing or explain his actions.

The student, Chu Chun Kit, posted the letter to Facebook:

“If you think that sending a letter complaining about me can make me shut up… you think that you can scare me like this?” Chu wrote. Chu added some insults about any such complainants’ mothers, and for good measure, their families in general.

Unsurprisingly, the outspoken Maritime and Logistics Studies student had a lot to say to the tattletale. In the above post, he wrote: “I have the right to post what I want on Facebook. If you ugly pricks don’t like what I post, you can ignore them. Complaining to PolyU about me, you guys are like primary school kids.”

PolyU, realising that perhaps they shouldn’t interfere with their students’ freedom of speech (including that of cussing) on a third party social network, later retracted the letter and acknowleged that it was inappropriate, reports Apple Daily.
