The Hong Kong Academy of Pharmacy is asking people to avoid medication or products that claim to counter the effects of drinking.
As the holidays approach, Christmas and New Year parties where large amounts of alcohol is consumed is pretty much tradition. But wanting to avoid the effects of overdrinking, some party-goers look to alcohol metabolisers.
The Academy’s Pharmacy Consultant, Iris Chang, however, claims that there isn’t enough clinical evidence to say these products really work.
Her word of advice, don’t use them!
Our word of advice: have a blast but drink responsibly!
